Ferries often operate in coastal regions or inland rivers
where precision maneuverability is a necessity. Thrustmaster
hydraulic propulsion units provide excellent service for inland
river ferries where shallow water and floating debris is a common
occurance. For river ferries Thrustmaster offers azimuth thrusters
in through-hull
or deck-mounted
construction which eliminates the need for engine rooms and mechanical
spaces below deck allow for even shallower draft.
For high-speed ferries where precision maneuvering is needed,
but floating debris is less of a problem Thrustmaster offers
hydraulic
tunnel thrusters or retractable azimuth thrusters in steel or
in aluminum, depending on vessel hull material.
