construction applications like platform installation, pipelay,
subsea manifold and riser installation, cable lay, bridge construction,

Marine construction vessels must hire
tugs and crews in order to move their maintenace vessels just
a short distance. Positioning of ships, barges and platforms
using easy to install hydraulic thrusters is a Thrustmaster specialty.
By makeing the vessel self-propelled then work barges and even
ships can be moved about the offshore marine site to install
and maintain bridges or platforms and to overhaul equipment with
ease. These portable hydraulic thrusters can be manually operated,
or, connected to a DP computer to hold position next to a platform
or wind generator.
 Another
Thrustmaster specialty is retractable hydraulic azimuth thrusters
also up to 3000hp (2300kW). These thrusters can be installed
inside the vessel and use a below deck diesel or electric driven
Hydraulic Power Unit to free up deck space. Look to Thrustmaster

 For
conversion of existing vessels, Thrustmaster offers turn-key
DP-upgrade packages which have already saved operators millions
of dollars by not permantly changing the vessel but rather,
temporarily converting to dynamic positioning and then reverting
the ship or barge once a contract is completed.
With the burgeoning alternate energy market the use of converted
ships, jack-up rigs, and specialty barges to install and maintain
the equipment above and below the waterline, especially as the
market seeks to move into deeper water or more remote fields,
is easily addressed with Thrustmaster's PDPS to work in any depth
water for installation and maintenance.
Coupled with radar and laser range finding the Thrustmaster
PDPS system can DP in the middle of an alternate energy farm
and move from platform to platform quickly and efficiently to
help sustain the field and keep profits at a maximum.
